Mango Hale- About Puako

Puako is a unique ocean front community unlike any other place in Hawaii.
It is considered the sunniest spot in the state and averages less than 10”
of rain annually. Puako is located on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island and
is only a 30 minute drive from the Kona International Airport .

The Puako coast is a protected Marine Sanctuary marked by its' pristine water and reef, making it a unique area to swim, dive, and snorkel with sea turtles and other amazing ocean life.

The slow pace and lack of traffic makes this shoreline excellent for hikes, leisurely walks, morning jogs, or a scenic bike ride. Within a 10 minute drive is Hapuna Beach State Park . Hapuna is famous for its' natural beauty, white sand beach, and body surfing waves.
